Just a short blog about this morning at the heart clinic.
Nana's aunt had a heart attack earlier this year which got both of us thinking about he stent in my heart. No one ever said anything about how long it is good for or do we need to monitor it somehow.
I went to see the same DR. that was in charge of me when the stent was put in. e said that maybe we should do a stress echo cardiogram.
That is what I did this morning and I can report that I didn't fail the test, if I had I wouldn't be blogging now. The goal was to get the heart up to 139 beats per minute for the picture taking which meant that they wanted the heart at 150 so they could get the pictures before it got below 139. As I am n the tread mill the nurse asked if I could go one more level and of course I nodded and away we went. This time I had to jog to keep up and out of the corner of my eye I could see my heart rate was at 160. So I gave up and said that was enough. They said all looked good but now I have to wait until the heart DR. looks and gives me some kind of report.
