Northeast New York

Here are a couple of pictures of downtown Ticonderoga, NY. This is the Little Chute River that goes through the middle of town, over the waterfalls, and under the covered bridge.
Ticonderoga is really a nice city, at least the small part of it I saw.

I am staying at a small "Mom and Pop" motel called The Stone House Motel. You know you are in a classy place when you walk into your room and find the wastepaper basket lined with a Wal Mart plastic bag.

Off Again

Just a quick note. I returned to the farm on Sun. morning and now it is Monday afternoon an I am at the airport again heading to Ticonderoga, NY.
That is okay because Nana is coming home today and I am walking down to meet her plane in a few minutes. I will take her to the NWA World Club so I can be with her for a few hours before she goes her way and I go mine.
It was good to see the farm again, since I left April 4th. This morning we had a pair of wood ducks, 2 pairs of canvasback ducks, and a pair of mallard ducks on the pond. Fun to see.
The latest news in the neighborhood is that the black bear is out and moving around. He or she has been tearing down bird feeders looking for something to eat.

I Just Don't Get It

Just one more picture of my pals. They are the greatest despite what is below.


I just don't get it. I mean when I arrived at the PDX PishPosh house there were two sick kids throwing up on everything and everybody. One had a constant poop problem. I was changing diaper's, taking kids to school (which I liked), keeping a tidy kitchen, so on and so forth. I was kept busy when I was at the house.
Enter Nana on Saturday. I talked to her today and so far this is what she has encountered. On Sunday she took E to the theater and later read books to him and put him to bed. Monday both kids go to school, all day, and Nana gives herself a manicure. On Tuesday she goes for a massage that the kids gave her for her birthday. I think on Thursday or Friday she is going for a pedicure. Do ya see where I am going with this? Something is so wrong with the above picture.
I am now seriously considering the offer from Marf. I think she and I could have a tea day thrown in sometime.

Time To Leave

It is now time for Jonesie "The Manny" to leave. I have to go on a job in Kansas. My replacement has arrived. Nana arrived on Sat. for a week stay and to take over.
I did get a pretty good offer from Marf to move the Manny business up to her house but Mr. H said he would double what she offered for me to stay.
Sadly, I have to turn both down as I have a real job to go to.

E needs your help. He has been forced out into the street to try and get money. His parents have now told him they are on a tight budget and cannot afford to keep buying him fun things.
So he took to the streets, played the flute and begged for donations from strangers walking by. The donations have been small but steady and some day he will be able to afford a coat and mittens.

Today was the day E and I had to do some work instead of playing all day long.
We started out by taking PDX Katie to work and then we were off to Starbucks for our morning coffee and scones. It was then to Fred Meyers to get some kind of spy equipment. We wanted Sponge Bob - Brainwashed but it was gone by the time we got there.
So we went home and changed out the garbage disposal. As you can see, E was a great help holding the flashlight. I am happy to report that it seems to be working okay so far.

Here are a couple of pictures of E during his T ball games. I asked him what position he played and he told me "Jonesie, everyone plays every position". I didn't know.
Each night before E and I fall asleep,, he whispers "let's make plans for tomorrow". Sometimes he stays with me all day and sometimes he has to go to school.


Since I have arrived at the sick house, I have been sick for 1 day, been vomited on, pooped on, slept with 2 feet in my face and drove the barf mobile around town. I have loved every minute of it!!!
Today Emme is going to the doctor as she woke her parents up every 45 minutes last night from being sick. This has been going on for 8 days, so it is time to find out what is going on.
I, in the mean time, am going to buy a new garbage disposal for the kitchen. The one that is in place now leaks and is unrepairable.

The Morning After

Yesterday's pics were during the snowstorm. These are the next morning which was a nice bright sunny morning except for the work that lies ahead.
It looks to be about 8 inches of new snow that I spent 3 hours trying to move off the sidewalks and driveway. But now it is melting and hopefully be gone soon.
